Washington Palm - Washingtonia robusta
The Washington Palm (not native to North America) usually grows to a height of 40 or 50 feet but it is capable of reaching up to 80 feet in height. This is a very popular, straight, single-trunked palm usually seen lining streets or in front of tall office buildings.
The upper leaves are bright green and have broad, fan shaped leaves. This palm is commonly known as the "petticoat" palm. It is advised to remove the lower leaves when they die and turn brown.

Spread: 10 to 15 feet
