LET'S GROW NURSERY

Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow's are from tropical America and classified as tropical shrubs and Tender Perennials with average, regular watering needs and should not be over watered.  They prefer rich, well-drained soil and adequate water during summer and during dry spells.  The botanic name is Brunfelsia bonodora (often incorrectly spelled Brunsfelsia), and bonodora is a Latin word meaning 'sweet-smelling'.

They grow to a height of between six and twelve feet tall and should be spaced approximately four to six feet apart.  Yesterday-Today-Tomorrow enjoys sun to partial shade and they are known to be poisonous (both seeds and plant parts) if ingested. To prevent accidental poisoning of dogs, remove the berries each year.  With dense and medium green colored evergreen foliage (in young plants often turning purplish in cooler weather), their fragrant tubular blooms change color over successive days and range from white-near white, blue-violet and violet-lavender in color and bloom repeatedly.  These shrubs require soil that is neutral to mildly acid.

Flowers appear from September to late November and are violet in color, gradually changing to lavender blue and then white, with all three colors on the shrub at the same time.
